St. Paul, Minnesota – Commander John Adamek, a revered member of the St. Paul Bomb Squad and Chairman of the National Bomb Squad Commander’s Advisory Board, passed away on February 17, 2025, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Adamek, known for his unwavering strength and dedication to both his profession and family, leaves behind a legacy of service, mentorship, and love.
A devoted father to Joey and Alex, and a caring husband to Kim, he was admired by all who had the privilege of working with him. His leadership and guidance were felt deeply across the bomb squad community, where he was known not only for his expertise but for his compassionate approach to those around him.
Friends and colleagues expressed their sorrow online, with one comment reading, "John, you will be missed by many."
